Maurice Ward Croatia

February 6, 2025

Maurice Ward Croatia is starting an exciting new phase with Matija Sajko as the newly appointed Branch Manager. As a total logistics services provider, this branch offers End-to-End logistics solutions, from the smallest packages to bulk movements, every shipment handled with care.

Maurice Ward Croatia’s services cover a wide range of logistics needs to meet client requirements and industry standards, such as:

Ocean Freight:
Flexible solutions for containerized and non-containerized shipments, including full-load consolidations, partial loads and specialized bulk movements for both exports and imports.

Airfreight:
From express solutions for time-critical shipments to chartering freighters for large-scale consignments, airfreight services ensure efficient transit for both outbound and inbound cargo.

Road Transportation:
Comprehensive Less-than-Truckload (LTL) and Full Truckload (FTL) services, providing primary and secondary transportation within and beyond the region.

Customs Services:
Compliant customs clearance processes for smooth border crossings of all types of shipments.

Warehousing Services:
Maurice Ward Croatia has the capabilities to handle warehousing, cross-dock and value-added projects, reinforcing our Total Supply Chain Management approach.

Project Logistics Services:
Planning and execution for complex projects, ensuring cost-effective and on-time delivery of oversized or specialized cargo.

Maurice Ward Croatia is strategically positioned to handle supply chain requirements in Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, offering full suite of services to meet the growing demand in the region.

Located on the EU border, Croatia also offers great opportunities for logistics development. With the nearby port of Koper and the strong port of Rijeka, MW Croatia is well-positioned to become a logistics hub for Central Europe. In fact, we are already seeing several prominent shipping lines building a dedicated terminal at Rijeka. Furthermore, many logistics companies have shown interest in establishing warehouses near Rijeka and Zagreb.

To support this growth and expected additional volume of inquiries, the development plan for the next six months for the Croatia office includes:

  • Building and training an even more high-performing team to provide top-quality service, ensuring competitive pricing and optimal conditions for our clients.
  • Introducing Maurice Ward and its full range of services to potential new clients across Croatia.
  • Expanding the customer base and strengthening the company’s presence in the region.

The first ever ‘cargo only’ flight was recorded in November 1910 in the USA, using a Wright Model B aeroplane that flew 65 miles carrying a package of silk. The business owner used the pioneering transport more as a PR stunt to celebrate the opening of his store, with the bundle of silk cut into individual pieces and glued onto souvenir postcards.
